Mary Shores

Owner & CEO

Mary Shores has blazed the trail that connects mindfulness, thought leadership, and business strategies to the not-so-secret tune of manifesting health, wealth, and abundance. Mary was born to be a businesswoman and a leader in her community. She had her first taste of the collections industry in 1986 when she began working at her parents’ company, Interstate Credit & Collections in Danville, Illinois. In 1999, at age 24, Mary founded Midstate Collection Solutions, Inc., and was the youngest person in the world to own a collection agency at the time. As the owner and CEO of one of the most unique collection agencies in the country and author of a Hay House personal development book, her philosophy of maintaining a positive approach to life and to debt collection has reframed her entire organization and her life. She is, without a doubt, the pacesetter that keeps Midstate running like a well-oiled machine. Mary thrives on personal, professional, and leadership development not only for herself, but also for her staff and two children. Yoga, “light bulb moments,” and dark chocolate sea salt & caramel Ghirardelli squares are just a few things that make Mary happy. Passionate about empowering and uplifting others, Mary often speaks to companies and organizations about Conscious Communications, Upfront Collections, Leadership Essentials, and Personal & Professional Growth. She is often found empowering others to reach their highest potential, and to be self-sufficient and resourceful. She enjoys spending her time attending retreats, listening to audiobooks (such as the wonderful Tony Robbins and Louise Hay), eating delicious food, learning how things work and how she can improve them, traveling, and making vision boards.
